THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE MUSEUM OF KERNAVĖ 

At Kerniaus st. 4A, in Kernavė an interactive museum exposition awaits you. It will introduce you to the UNESCO world heritage site of Kernavė, the work of archaeologists and the results of yearly archaeological research since 1979.

AN OPEN AIR MUSEUM 

An open air museum was opened in Kernavė in 2016. The exposition is based on archaeological research and findings in the Pajauta valley of Kernavė cultural reserve. The rebuilt fragment of a medieval city gives a glimpse of what life could have looked like in the 13th - 14th centuries. It is made up of three homesteads. Each homestead presents the everyday life of a different craftsmen. The only tool used in the construction of this complex was an axe! In this way the exact construction technology was kept. You can visit the open air exposition during museums working hours. It is free of charge.  

EXHIBITION HALL 

At the museum of Kernavė archaeological site, on the second floor, various exhibitions and temporary expositions await you. You can visit the exhibition hall during museum working hours.
